PPL course, January

Our next 2-day university accredited course, ‘Introduction to Positive Psychology’ course will be held at Missenden Abbey, Buckinghamshire on 26-27th January 2018.

On this highly interactive course you will learn about the leading research into positive psychology and the science-based skills associated with it.

Attendees on this course will be eligible for a 10% discount on positive psychology courses at Bucks New University, which represents a discount of over £900 on university course fees if you go on to study the Masters in Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) degree.

 

MAPP weekend, January

The next Masters in Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) weekend is 13-14th January 2018 at Missenden Abbey, Buckinghamshire. Associate Lecturers, Lesley and Dan will be present during the weekend supporting 1st and 2nd year students.

 

Laughter Session, Monthly

Lesley runs a free monthly community laughter session at the Fenwick Wellbeing Centre in Lyndhurst, The New Forest. These sessions are open to anyone interested in the skill of self-facilitated laughter. No experience is required just an open mind and a curious attitude! Details here

 

Global Dialogue for Happiness, Dubai – February

Lesley and Dan are honoured to be two of only 500 people worldwide to be invited by Her Excellency Ohood Al Roumi, United Arab Emirates’ Minister of State for Happiness and Wellbeing, to attend the Global Dialogue for Happiness, February 2018. This is an exciting opportunity to discuss the latest research and initiatives into increasing happiness throughout the world and to shape governments’ policies on improving people’s wellbeing.

 

World Government Summit, Dubai – February

Lesley and Dan will be attending the 3 day World Government Summit at the Madinat Jumeirah. This event is the largest annual government gathering in the world and brings together some of the globe’s top thinkers and decision makers, as well as a few celebrity speakers.

 

How To Thrive – Mental Illness Investigated, March

Positive Psychology Learning are pleased to work with the UK charity How To Thrive, who are enabling students, teaching staff, parents/carers to learn science-based skills to improve their resilience for all aspects of their life. Lesley and Dan will be running their next Mental Illness Investigated training course in March 2018 at a venue in the New Forest. WoHaSu, Miami – March

The 2nd World Happiness Summit (WoHaSu) is being held 16-18th March 2018, University of Miami, Miami, Florida. This year’s theme will be Sustainable Happiness: Developing Balanced Personal, Interpersonal, Career & Environmental Ecosystems. We are proud to announce that our Director, Lesley Lyle, has been appointed the UK Happiness Ambassador for the World Happiness Summit.

 

The Happiness Journey, Dubai – March

Following on from the success of this event that was initiated in 2017, the Happiness Journey has become an annual event that brings to life experiences that shall spread happiness and wellbeing. Positive Psychology Learning is proud to be a participant once again and will also be a guest speaker talking about why ‘Mindfulness Matters NOW!

African Positive Psychology Conference, April

The first African Positive Psychology Conference will be taking place in Potchefstroom, South Africa on 4-7th April 2018 and the central theme will be embracing wellbeing in diverse contexts. Positive Psychology Learning will be attending this groundbreaking positive psychology event for the continent of Africa and will be speaking about their findings on positive psychology in practice
