It was a great honour to once again accept an invitation from Her Excellency, Ohood Al Roumi, the UAE Minister of State for Happiness and Wellbeing, to attend the World Government Summit in Dubai, 10th – 12th February 2019.
I am so fortunate to have been invited an invited guest for for the last few years so that I have been able to listen to governments from around the world discuss the agenda of happiness and wellbeing and examine how innovation and technology can provide solutions to some of the challenges that countries worldwide, currently face.
This year there were more than 4,000 invited guests who gathered to listen to the views and policies of governments from more than 150 different countries. The organisation and hospitality offered was incredibly generous and every detail was taken care of. The sunshine was a definite bonus and once again we were all made to felt extremely welcome and spoiled by the hospitality.
The list of invited guests was amazing and included, Harrison Ford, The Pope and Tony Robbins to mention just a few! Here is a list of speakers as there are too many to mention and there are videos you can access to hear some of these powerful and hopeful messages.
It was good to meet up with old friends and make new ones too some of whom also made it to the World Happiness Summit (WOHASU) in Miami, the following month.
The message I took away was that Happiness and Wellbeing is being taken very seriously by governments but we need to also take responsibility for ourselves.
Together, we can make a positive difference.
